Every stoplight should look like this

I don't know what it is about this picture that attracts me so much but I love it! I found it here. Thought I would spread the love ;]

Way down yonder

New Orleans. I wanna go there again. Preferably sometime soon. The last and only time I was there I was only in the city for a few short hours. And believe me, it definitely was not enough! These are some photos from my trip a few months ago. I could not get over how gorgeous it all was.

In the land of dreamy scenes
There's a garden of Eden
You know what I mean"

There really is no place...

...like home.

I took this picture of my Dad and my (not-so-little-anymore) brother when I came home for spring break a few weeks ago. We took the dogs out for a walk at Chatfield Hollow and I thought it was crazy how much they look alike!

Anyhoo, it was fun editing and playing around with =]

hope you enjoy!

I heart pastels

Okay it has been way too long since I've posted... So here is some brand new eye candy! These are some pastel drawings I made since I've been home for summer. I really like using the special board used in these drawings. It's velvety and creates this really great texture for pastels!! I wish I knew what it was called so I could get more. I got these ones as a gift from my grandparents.

My friend Bec and I.. I'm giving this to her for her birthday

My little sister and Dad.. this was an experiment. I wanted to try a new technique with the pastels by making quicker, faster strokes but I think I like my old technique better.
